Medicarp L Koi Food
Medicarp was formulated to stimulate the immune system of Koi and goldfish to fight disease. Medicarp was developed in Japan by researchers associated with Mie Univeristy in response to virus outbreaks which occurred in the Niigata prefecture. Results were excellent and in the years since, Medicarp has become a widely respected food among Japanese breeders, collectors and hobbyists. Medicarp is a long term, maintenence food. Medicarp contains Lactoferrin which can prevent infections in Koi. Torule yeast is also included in Medicarp to keep your koi strong and healthy. Medicarp is fortified with a natural phytoplankton called Hemathococcus, (not zooplankton) which results in a natural, but superbly enhanced colour in your Koi. Medicarp floats, it maintains its shape in water and will not cloud your pond.  Medicarp is famous for it's palatability. Very few foods will cause your fish to so-aggressively swarm the pond surface in search of it! Season Water Temperature Digestion Feeding Instructions Spring Autumn Low Low As the water is cool in morning and evening, feed Koi only at midday. Rainy Season Some Low Unstable As the water is cooled by rain, feed Koi moderately. Summer High High As the warmer temperatures in summer will increase a Koi's appetite, feed Koi at least 2 or 3 times per day. Winter Low Very Low As Koi's appetite and digestion are low. Feed Koi moderately.
